Softened Boundaries proposes a renovation and extension of the Blanche A. Nixon/Cobbs Creek Library in Philadelphia. Drawing on Sou Fujimoto’s Primitive Future, the project explores boundaries as gradual transitions between activities and environments. It considers how a neighborhood library can accommodate focused reading alongside informal gathering and everyday community use.
